Delete Your Account

Request deletion of your Yuh Bright? account and associated data.

We respect your right to control your data. You can request deletion of your Yuh Bright? account and associated personal data at any time, using either of the two methods below. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Delete from within the app (fastest)

  1. Open the Yuh Bright? app and sign in.
  2. Open the More menu and tap Parents' Corner.
  3. Scroll to the Danger Zone section.
  4. Tap Delete My Account and confirm.

Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.

Request deletion by email

If you can no longer access the app, email us with the words "Delete My Account" in the subject line, and include the email address registered to the account.

We process email deletion requests within 7 business days of verifying ownership of the account.

What gets deleted

  • Your account profile (name, email, school, grade level)
  • Game sessions, quiz scores, XP, Bright Coins, and rewards
  • Earned badges, streak data, and avatar selections
  • Progress history and leaderboard entries linked to your account
  • Local data stored on your device (progress, settings, cached state)
  • Parent email subscription records (ParentSubscription entity)

What may be kept

  • •Anonymized aggregate data — de-identified statistics (e.g., total quizzes completed across all users) may be retained for analytics and are not linked to you.
  • •Service logs — security and system logs may be retained for up to 30 days after deletion for fraud prevention and legal compliance, then permanently removed.
  • •Legal records — where required by law, minimal records of the deletion request itself may be kept.

Deletion timeline

In-app deletions are processed immediately. Email requests are completed within 7 business days of account ownership verification. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
